Child Abuse Prevention Month

Childhood well-being is a community issue.

Join us for Child Abuse Prevention Month - April 2024

April is nationally recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time for our community to come together to celebrate the small actions each of us can take that make a big impact on the well-being of our children.

Thousands of cases of child abuse and neglect are reported in our community each year. But there’s good news! Child Abuse is 100% preventable!

Preventing child abuse and building strong, safe, and healthy children and families will benefit the entire community — setting up future generations to succeed!

  • The blue pinwheel is a symbol of the healthy, happy, and full childhoods all children deserve. Throughout the region, local partners will be hosting pinwheel gardens which will remain on display through the month of April. Pinwheel garden dedication events are free and open to the public.
