Newborn Infant Law

You couldn't let anyone know.....

                 You've hidden your pregnancy...

Now you have a baby..

The Illinois legislature has passed a law called the Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act, also known as the Baby Moses Law.

This allows parents of newborn infants the opportunity to leave their baby with staff at a hospital, fire station or emergency medical center.

If you're not ready to be a parent, make sure your baby is safe.  Parents may remain anonymous and not fear prosecution if the baby is unharmed.

You can bring your baby to one of the Trinity Medical Center locations at:

    West Campus

    2701 17th Street

    Rock Island, IL

    7th Street Campus

We understand that....

Sometimes things happen that seem out of control.  At times women have unplanned pregnancies and even deliver babies with no help. Yet, they can't let anyone know.

As a result, babies are in need of care and must be placed in a secure home.

First and foremost, we want to make sure all babies are safe, with no questions asked.

Emergency Room staff on any Trinity campus will accept a newborn baby (up to 72 hours old) at any time.
